Civil 3D est un logiciel de conception pour le génie civil développé par l’éditeur de logiciels américain Autodesk et disponible à la fois en licence unique ou inclus dans la suite logicielle Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection aux côtés d’AutoCAD ou de Revit notamment. Il est disponible en version d’évaluation si vous le souhaitez. Vous pouvez par la suite acquérir une licence d’utilisation via un abonnement mensuel, annuel ou trisannuel.
Le logiciel Autodesk Civil 3D assure la prise en charge du BIM (Building Information Modeling), pouvant être traduit en français par modélisation des données du bâtiment, intégrant des fonctionnalités permettant d’améliorer la conception et la documentation de construction d’un grand nombre de types d’infrastructures civiles. Parmi elles, nous allons retrouver toutes les infrastructures de transport telles que les aéroports, les voies de chemin de fer, les ponts, tunnels et les routes et autoroutes mais aussi des structures de drainage ou d’évacuation des eaux usées.
Les mises à jour régulières permettent d’améliorer l’interface ainsi que l’intégration du logiciel dans un workflow (consultez notre article Qu’est-ce qu’un workflow ? pour en savoir plus) mettant en jeu d’autres logiciels Autodesk comme Dynamo, Revit, InfraWorks ou Navisworks afin de mener la conception d’un projet de construction de A à Z.
